Returns

What's your return policy? How do I return my product?

We hope that you absolutely love and enjoy your new Zungleboo product! However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchased product, you are also welcome to return it. You can simply start a return here

We accept returns for items that: (1) are defective in manufacturing or workmanship; (2) are damaged upon receipt; (3) are incorrectly shipped due to fulfillment mistakes of Zungleboo; or (4) you do not wish to keep. We only accept returns within 30 days of receipt of your shipment. If 30 days have gone by since the delivery, we unfortunately can no longer offer you a refund or exchange and will not process any returned items after this.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the original condition of delivery, and accompanied by the order number. It must also be in the original packaging. If you are returning items because they are damaged or defective, to receive a refund or exchange, you must notify us of such damage or defects within 48 hours of receipt of your shipment.

Gift cards and promotional items cannot be returned and will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

What items are non-refundable?

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Gift cards
  • Promotional items (if applicable)
  • Products with obvious signs of use
  • Any item damaged or with missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

How do I ship back the item?

After you submit a return request, you will receive an email from us with detailed instructions and a return address.

You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the item(s) was defective or damaged, or we made a fulfillment error, in which cases we will provide you with a return shipping label. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time to deliver your exchanged product may vary.

If your shipment is valued over $75 USD, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not responsible for items that you ship back to us until we receive them.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and we will inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a commercially reasonable number of days.

What if I could not receive the refund?

If you haven't received your refund, first check your bank account. Then, contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at vip@zunglestore.com.

Can I exchange the product?

We only replace items and provide for an exchange if the items are defective or damaged. Although we must be notified within 48 hours of your receipt of the defective or damaged items, you will have 30 days from the date of receipt in which to return the damaged or defective items to us. If you need to exchange damaged or defective goods for the same item, send us an email at vip@zunglestore.com.

Tableware Care

Can I microwave Zungleboo?

Yes, you can. There is no BPA and no melamine in Zungleboo dinnerware. Since our products are plant-based, take some caution to prevent warping. We recommend microwaving for 2~3 minutes (or less). It is better to reheat your food with Zungleboo products, rather than to cook with them.

Can I put Zungleboo in the dishwasher?

Yes, if you use normal settings (~160oF) and not heat dry or sanitizing wash cycles, Zungleboo  dinnerware can be placed on either top or bottom rack. As with microwave usage, please consider they are all made of plants, and take caution at higher temperatures.

Is Zungleboo shatterproof?

Yes, Zungleboo is shatterproof, though it is not indestructible. With everyday normal use, our tableware will not break nor shatter like ceramic or glass tableware. Our products are highly durable and have successfully passed drop-tests during inspection.

How light is Zungleboo dinnerware?

Zungleboo tableware is on average 3 to 5 times lighter than stoneware or ceramics and, hence, much easier to use, clean, and store. You no longer need to worry about taking down or putting up Zungleboo from high kitchen shelves. Grandmas and small children will love using them!

Is Zungleboo scratch-proof?

No. Since all Zungleboo products are made from plant-based materials and no chemical coating is used to treat the surface (to make our products as eco-friendly as possible), the surface of our plates may be scratched or marked if significant pressure is applied with cutlery being used. Please be especially mindful when using a knife or any sharp utensil on the surface of our plant-based products.

Materials

What are Zungleboo products made of?

All Zungleboo products are made of plant-based materials such as corn starch PLA bioplastic and bamboo fiber. There is no melamine binders in any Zungleboo product.

What is PLA?

PLA is the abbreviation for polylactic acid, a bio-based bioplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn, sugarcane, or tapioca roots. Zungleboo uses 100% corn starch for its PLA material.

Why does Zungleboo use PLA?

PLA is what makes Zungleboo products both eco-friendly and durable for everyday use, extending the life of our plant-based products in a sustainable way. All Zungleboo PLA materials are food-safe, microwave-safe, and non-toxic.

Why does Zungleboo use bamboo?

Zungleboo uses bamboo because it is one of our world’s most renewable natural resource and grows incredibly fast without pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides. Bamboo is naturally regenerative and is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

Does Zungleboo products contain melamine or any toxic substances?

No, there is zero melamine in Zungleboo products. Zungleboo products have been tested by a third-party lab to comply with FDA CFR21 food contact materials standards and California Prop 65 standards (lead, cadmium, phthalates).

Do Zungleboo products use a coating for color?

No. Our color pigments are mixed with the materials. Hence, there is no leaching of color or peeling of any chemical coating after reuse. The absence of the external varnish enables our products to maintain its design and color over time. The dyes we use are  food-grade and non-toxic.

Where and how are Zungleboo products made?

Our products are designed in Austin, Texas and made in China with an exclusive partner. There is close collaboration with our partner, which can allow us to guarantee quality of design and safety of use at every stage of the manufacturing process. Quality inspections are performed by a third party for every batch of manufacturing.
